This is a plug and play camera kit that will allow you to replace your factory tailgate camera on a Sierra/Silverado 1500/2500/3500 Series Work Truck with this Mini Universal camera – Plug and Play! Your truck must be prewired and programmed for a camera or this kit will not work. Please see the compatibility tab for more information!

Use this camera for salt spreaders, bed campers, 5th wheel applications, airstream tailgates, and any other application where you are required to remove your factory tailgate. Simply mount the camera on your license plate or any flat surface and connect the cable to your factory backup camera connection for a simple and seamless installation. The kit comes with a license plate bracket and a mini-universal bracket, which allows flexibility in mounting locations.

“Work Truck” with factory installed backup camera wiring and “IOR” RPO code. Contact your GM® dealer with your VIN number to determine that your VIN has the “WT” specification and the “IOR” RPO code. NOTE: RPO code list can be retrieved by scanning the QR code on the VIN plate in the driver doorjamb.
Also confirm that you have the 30 pin connector for the camera wiring at the back of the truck.

NOTE: In order for this kit to operate correctly, your truck must be programmed for a backup camera.
To check if the radio is programmed for a camera, place the vehicle in reverse and insure the radio display switches to either NO DISPLAY (black screen with a warning) or a functioning backup camera. If your truck DOES NOT switch over to either a blank screen or an active rear camera, your vehicle must be programmed at your GM dealership to turn on the backup camera. Purchase of this kit does not include programming of the factory radio.
EVI Systems has certified this camera system to comply with FMVSS 111 regulations as set forth by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Testing has been performed jointly in-house and by a certified laboratory to meet or exceed the minimum requirements set forth by TP-111-V-01.  FMVSS 111 field of view requirements and any other vehicle related certification is ultimately the responsibility of the vehicle up-fitter to ensure compliance. Â
