Garmin Street Pilot® On-Board App Support iPhone 4/4S users can now use their device to display Garmin’s map interface onto any 2012 DDX monitor (optional KCA-iP22F or KCA-iP202 cable required).

Purchase the Garmin On-Board App from iTunes (U.S.A or N.America map versions), add the Vehicle Display Integration option and you will now be able to view the map and hear directions through the DDX receiver. As an on-board App, you will use minimal GPS data for navigating.

USB Connectivity for iPhone and iPod USB-enabled DDX multimedia receiver models, feature USB connectivity for audio playback from popular devices like iPhone and iPod. Featuring easy-to-use user interface, iPod browsing is a breeze when searching by playlist, artist, album, song, genres or composer. For added versatility, App/iPod Mode disables the receiver’s integrated control, enabling passengers to control the iPod manually including some selected Apps. The same USB connectivity allows users to connect USB thumb drives and external hard disk drives.

Pandora Connectivity for iPhone Install the Pandora App on the iPhone and enjoy a personalized listening experience.

A number of Pandora functions can be controlled from a Pandora-enabled Kenwood receiver when an iPhone is connected through USB. Functions include Thumbs up & down, Bookmark Artist, Bookmark Song, A to Z search and Alphabetical channel search. Pandora allows users to maximize the internet radio experience in your car by customizing all of your favourite artists for a rich musical experience.

Pandora application requires a data connection on your iPhone with service currently only available in the U.S.

SiriusXM Ready Adding SiriusXM is made more affordable with a single direct connection to the optional SXV100/SXV200 SiriusXM tuner module (runs exclusively on the XM network). With your subscription, you will now be able to access all your favorite music channels, sports games and entertainment including some advanced SiriusXM functions like Instant Replay.

Front USB and AV AUX Input Easy front panel connection for your compatible USB-enabled devices. These include iPhone and iPod devices as well as compatible Mass Storage Class devices like smartphones, USB thumb drives and portable hard drives. This USB input will allow you to charge and control the music playback on your connected device.

Variable Color Illumination This allows the user to match the Kenwood unit’s illumination with the vehicle dashboard lights. Users can color-coordinate the background colors to their preferences and change key illuminations from the wide pallet of available colors to match any dashboard lighting conditions.

Rear View Camera Input Eliminate blind spots and improve safety when reversing your vehicle by adding an optional Kenwood CMOS reverse camera. Once the camera is installed, as soon as you put the vehicle into reverse, the rear view image will appear automatically on the DNX/DDX monitor.

Triple 4.0V Pre-outs with Crossover System – Get the most out of your external power amplifiers by delivering 4.0V high voltage audio signal to maximize sonic performance. Using the built-in crossover system, you can also easily filter out unwanted frequencies to your speakers and subwoofers to tune your system to its maximum potential.

Steering Wheel Remote Input – Many factory systems offer control of the factory-fit audio system from buttons on your steering wheel. Unfortunately, this functionality is sacrificed when installing an aftermarket audio system.

Install a commercially available steering-wheel interface and maintain control of functions such as volume up/down and track up/track down. This increases the convenience of using your system and increases driver safety to another level.

Firmware Updates – The operating system is updateable via free downloadable software from Kenwood’s support sites. Firmware downloads assist in maintaining system performance when using external devices and emerging technologies.

HANDS-FREE CALLING AND AUDIO STREAMING

Stay safe and obey local hands-free laws with built-in Bluetooth (HFP). With Secure Simple Pairing, you can easily pair a Bluetooth enabled phone to the AVH-P2400BT without having to enter pin codes or go through complicated settings. When a registered Bluetooth device is in close proximity to the receiver, the auto connection function automatically pairs the two units.

If you have a compatible audio player device that also features built-in Bluetooth, you have the ability to wirelessly stream (A2DP) and control audio (AVRCP) to the receiver.

USB DIRECT CONTROL FOR iPOD/iPHONE

Pioneer’s AVH-P2400BT is ready to roll with direct connectivity to your iPod or iPhone for music and video via the optional USB interface cable (CD-IU51V interface cable sold separately).
