Advent PSD100 Digital Front & Rear Obstacle Sensors:

Due to advances in digital technology, the new Advent PSD-100 Sensor System is the clear leader in the field and will now operate in the front or rear of a vehicle and has one of the most innovative and useful features ever introduced in the category: the unit uses flash memory to remember obstacles stationary on the automobile, such as a tire cover or bicycle rack when used in the rear mode, meaning drivers can now program and reprogram the system as the vehicle’s accessories change and help avoid unneccessary false alarms!

The system detects obstacles more than six feet away from the bumper. Its extended range gives drivers enough time to safely stop the vehicle before hitting the object. When installed in a front mounted application, sensors detect obstacles that are moving toward the front of the vehicle as they get closer, eliminating false warnings while stopped at traffic lights or in other situations.

The PSD-100 comes with a MUTE button to allow temporary override of warnings in heavy rain or snow, or in trailering situations that aren’t yet programmed to avoid falsing. The unit comes packaged with four black paintable sensors. Optional anodized chrome sensors are available, designed to match today’s chrome bumpers. The unit comes with a three year warranty.

The PSD-100 is a TWO SENSOR SYSTEM ONLY designed for front use or rear use. A full four sensor system rear bumper system will consist of the PSD-100 base two sensor system and the PSD-200 two sensor add-on sensors.
