HD Radio

High Definition Radio adds a new dimension to local radio broadcasts, allowing CD quality playback and almost total elimination of the “picket fence” type of Fm static that is common on non-HD Radio equipped receivers. Stations that broadcast in HD Radio also add multiple new channels with many more choices in programming, doubling or even tripling the amount of local stations now available!

USB Connectivity for iPhone and iPod

Most USB-enabled CD receiver models, feature USB connectivity for audio playback from popular devices like iPhone and iPod. Featuring easy-to-use user interface, iPod browsing is a breeze when searching by playlist, artist, album, song, genres or composer. Additionally, you can use advanced search functions like Reverse Browsing, Alphabet Search and Skip Search to find what you want to listen to, quickly and easily. For added versatility, App/iPod Mode disables the receiver’s integrated control, enabling passengers to control the iPod manually including some selected Apps. The same USB connectivity allows users to connect USB thumb drives and external hard disk drives.

Pandora Connectivity for iPhone

Install the Pandora App on the iPhone and enjoy a personalized listening experience. A number of Pandora functions can be controlled from a Pandora-enabled Kenwood receiver when an iPhone is connected through USB. Functions include Thumbs up & down, Bookmark Artist, Bookmark Song, A to Z search and Alphabetical channel search. Pandora allows users to maximize the internet radio experience in your car by customizing all of your favorite artists for a rich musical experience.

Pandora application requires a data connection on your iPhone with service currently only available in the U.S.

Kenwood Music Control for Android Smartphones

This Kenwood application organizes your music and provides quick and easy search capability from a compatible Kenwood USB/CD receiver such as by artist, song or genre. Additional function also lets you select music based on your mood.

Built-In Bluetooth Hands-Free

Bluetooth wireless technology promotes safe driving habits by allowing you to have a hands-free conversation while you drive without the need to hold a phone. Incoming calls can be set to pick up automatically or at the touch of a button if you prefer to screen incoming calls. For outgoing calls, you can choose to dial out by scrolling through your phonebook on the easy to read display interface or by voice dialing if enabled on your compatible smartphone.

Adding SiriusXM is made more affordable with a single direct connection to the optional SXV100/SXV200 SiriusXM tuner module (runs exclusively on the XM network). With your subscription, you will now be able to access all your favorite music channels, sports games and entertainment including some advanced SiriusXM functions like Instant Replay and Game Alert.

Front USB and AUX Input

– USB connectivity for compatible USB-enabled devices. These include iPhone and iPod devices as well as compatible Mass Storage Class devices like smartphones, USB thumb drives and portable hard drives. A convenient 3.5 mm stereo input jack is also available for any audio device with a headphone jack or other type of AUX output.

Steering Wheel Remote Input

Many factory systems offer control of the factory-fit audio system from buttons on your steering wheel. Unfortunately, this functionality is sacrificed when installing an aftermarket audio system. Install a commercially available steering-wheel interface and maintain control of functions such as volume up/down and track up/track down. This increases the convenience of using your system and increases driver safety to another level.

HANDS-FREE CALLING AND AUDIO STREAMING

Stay safe and obey local hands-free laws with built-in Bluetooth (HFP). With Secure Simple Pairing, you can easily pair a Bluetooth enabled phone to the AVH-P2400BT without having to enter pin codes or go through complicated settings. When a registered Bluetooth device is in close proximity to the receiver, the auto connection function automatically pairs the two units.

If you have a compatible audio player device that also features built-in Bluetooth, you have the ability to wirelessly stream (A2DP) and control audio (AVRCP) to the receiver.

USB DIRECT CONTROL FOR iPOD/iPHONE

Pioneer’s AVH-P2400BT is ready to roll with direct connectivity to your iPod or iPhone for music and video via the optional USB interface cable (CD-IU51V interface cable sold separately). Song, artist, time and album information are beautifully displayed on the 5.8″ touchscreen. Powerful tools such as Link Search and Alphabet Search to help you find content faster. The system’s wired USB connection provides direct digital signal transfer from the device for clean, clear sound while providing 1 amp of current to keep your iPod or iPhone charged

APP MODE: RETHINKING CONNECTIVITY
